The talk of the hair beauty industry – the authentically Japanese hair design show airlifted into Taiwan! The personal hair stylist to Japan’s pop idol Hamasaki Ayumi – Mr. Takahashi has led a wholly Japanese team - 9 of ZACC’s top stylists, a team of Japanese models and a stage design team to present a hair fashion show in Taiwan. The event hall emanates a strong sense of Japanese fashion, giving many Taiwanese hair stylists who aspire to visit Japan and learn from the best but have not been able to do so, an instant lesson on the foremost hair fashion trends in Japan.
Lauded by the Taiwanese media as the ‘maestro of image design’, Mr. Takahashi demonstrated ‘brining air into hair’ with a wave of his hand at the meet the media session on October 31st, creating a stir with his unique technique. This pre-show demonstration definitely whetted the appetite of everyone waiting to attend the most-talked about event in the hair beauty industry.
In deference to Mr. Takahashi’s humble personality, this hair fashion show will be low keyed with no over-the-top events. According to Mr. Takahashi, this inaugural show in Taiwan is an opportunity for him and his team to ‘present ZACC’s creations in Japan to Taiwan and an opportunity to share and learn best practices’. Mr. Takahashi is a strong advocate that ‘hair design is assessed as an integral part of the holistic image’. To that end, every aspect of the show, from hair design and makeup, to apparel and accessories has been managed personally by Mr. Takahashi with the objective of producing a show that is balanced and visually perfect.
There are two key components to a hair design show, the first one being hair design technique. In this category, Mr. Takahashi has brought in two of his best stylists to demonstrate cutting and presentation techniques. Mr. Takahashi has compiled a series of 5 demo’s of cutting techniques for short, medium to long hair, including a pixie-charming style and a mature style, all aimed at enabling the audience to learn a wide range of techniques. Mr. Takahashi explained that all these techniques were used when working with Japanese celebrities. To appease the many Taiwanese fans of Hamasaki Ayumi and satisfy their curiosity, Mr. Takahashi also demonstrated the cutting technique for medium hair, adding that “ this was the technique requested by Hamasaki Ayumi!”
